Ships log for the yacht "Sparrow" an Ian Anderson designed 'Hurley 20', sail no. 109, launched 16th November 1967. This is the day to day stuff involved with owning and sailing a small boat, so nothing earth shattering but there'll also hopefully be some adventures along the way..
...can't be too careful - these are ex-Sunsail (my sister used to work for them) and are marked 1998, so 20 years old this year... still good though...
Mine are Seago, picked up cheap in a group deal at Beaulieu actually 11 years ago now, when I had the powerboat. From 5 of them I've scrapped two of them over the years. But at least the gas bottle and actuator mechanism can be saved as spares.
Good to see you doing the checks - I'm old fashioned, I still have this thing in the back of my mind that maybe when I really need it the damn life jacket won't inflate - I still feel safer with the old fashioned kind of life jacket! But then I AM an old bugger, old habits die hard LOL.
One of mine failed this year with a leak round the inflation tube. But then they are 10 years old...
